rban Ed is taking a proactive stance on tackling sustainability issues for young people head on.

Our TechnoForce Development Program is an intensive learning initiative targeting the unemployed and underemployed youth and young adult. Ex-offenders whether first time or returning to the community are also welcome to apply for our program.

The goal of the program is economic security helping our participants gain entry into careers that pay above average wages and have a career mobility path. Those completing Urban Ed's program will be trained as a computer technician eligible for the A+ and MCP/MCDST certification and able to fill entry-level positions as:

  • Computer Support Specialist
  • PC Maintenance and Enterprise Technicians
  • Help Desk Support
  • Remote Support Technicians
  • LAN Support I
  • Operating System and Client/Server Programmers
  • Depot Technicians

Based on a comprehensive, high-quality curriculum and an intensive support services network this program ranges from basics in understanding the workplace environment and negotiating life challenges to technology basics to more advanced levels of understanding computer hardware and software.
